Grillo Group clients, cohorts, and friends, photographers Susan Carr and Gary Cialdella challenged us to help reposition their company—Arcadia Photographics. Our research revealed that many current and prospective clients shared a specific academic background that influenced the types of images they were commissioning—they wanted images with visual depth and complexity that were still realistic and understandable. Based on this insight we recommended a new positioning (complex reality) and a company name change to CarrCialdella Photography.

We used humor to help people remember and pronounce the complex but authentic company name, and developed direct, thoughtful, and approachable communications to underscored how Gary and Susan integrated their roles as business people, photographers, and artists.
