NorthShore’s Innovate & Transform event series demonstrates donor dollars at work by sharing how philanthropy advances the practice of medicine and just how much good it can do. Each evening highlights a specific area of NorthShore thought leadership, groundbreaking research, and advocacy.
Imagine the ability to prescribe a medication that works the first time without the frustration of trial-and-error therapies. What about a method to prevent ovarian cancer or an end to premature labor? Imagine the surgical removal of a brain tumor through an incision so small that it is hidden by the eyebrow in a procedure that reduces surgical trauma and enables the patient to return home after only a short stay in the hospital.
What an amazing opportunity and great pleasure to work with such brilliant, driven, and truly courageous people.
Each of the series events featured a moderated panel of three expert physician-scientists presenting their work. The tone was relaxed and conversational. We worked with NorthShore to develop the event concept, name, format, and promotions.
We also worked with the individual expert physician-scientists to tailor their presentations to a lay audience by focusing on the narrative “why” of their research. We used simple, direct, and often aspirational words and imagery to help bring each point to life. We then coached the presenters on how to connect personally and emotionally with the donor/prospect audience.
NorthShore has some of the finest physician-scientists in the world. Grillo Group has the rare ability to work with our thought leaders and help them communicate the complexity of their research and its impact in ways that clearly resonate with our donors and prospects.
